About the Project

The Challenge

Built Valet Pro, a mobile application that modernises the tipping and payment experience for valet service providers — replacing cash tips with a seamless digital flow.

The Approach

The core challenge was designing a tip distribution system that felt fair and transparent to both customers and valet staff. My approach was to build a pooled daily tip model where all tips collected throughout the day are automatically distributed equally among active valets at the end of each shift — removing manual tip counting and disputes entirely.

I built the mobile frontend in React Native for cross-platform iOS and Android support, with a Laravel backend handling payment processing logic, user authentication, and tip calculation. MapBox Maps integration provided real-time location awareness so customers could see valet activity. Inertia.js was used to build the admin panel with a Laravel backend, giving management a clean interface to oversee daily operations, payouts, and tipping history without a separate API layer.

The Outcome

Secure payment integration was central to the project — I implemented payment gateway connectivity with proper error handling and transaction logging so every tip movement was auditable. The tipping history feature gave both valets and managers full visibility into earnings over time.
